Portugal Pro Golf Tour is delighted to announce that Paul Lawrie has agreed to become the Portugal Pro Golf Tours first golfing Ambassador.
Lawrie, the 1999 Open Champion, Multiple European Tour winner and an important member of two winning Ryder Cup teams, will work closely with the Tour, as it continues to build on its reputation as one of Europe’s best and most competitive developmental Tours.
Jose Correia remarked, “It is a great honour to see Paul Lawrie as the Tours Ambassador, a true Champion who gives back so much to the game, using his knowledge and experience to help create a sustainable pathway for juniors and young professionals alike.”
Gary Harris said, “That to have the opportunity of working closely together with Paul is fantastic and we are very much looking forward to the future”
Commenting on the relationship, Paul said: “I’m very happy to become the first Ambassador for the Portugal Pro Golf Tour. I’ve enjoyed playing in a number of PPGT events in recent years – they provide a great training ground for both up-and-coming Professionals (and amateurs) as well as some more experienced players looking to sharpen-up their competitive games. The venues, accommodation and organisation are always to a high standard. It’s a great product and I look forward to working with them.”
